Beatrice Learning After School Time
The BLAST program, proudly supported by the Beatrice Educational Foundation, is a vibrant after-school initiative designed to ignite a love of learning beyond the classroom. BLAST stands for Beatrice Learning After School Time — and that’s exactly what it does. Open to students Kindergarten through 5th grade in the district, BLAST offers a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that nurtures curiosity, builds confidence, and inspires achievement.
Students in this program experience hands-on enrichment activities rooted in science, technology, engineering, and math – all designed to reinforce academic skills and spark creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
At its heart, BLAST is about opportunity — giving every child the tools and encouragement to thrive both in and out of the classroom. Whether exploring robotics, crafting creative art projects, solving real-world math challenges, or simply building friendships, students in the BLAST program are discovering new passions and developing lifelong skills.
