Foundation History
Beatrice Educational Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1987, and one of the first education foundations in the State of Nebraska. The Foundation’s purpose is to provide a permanent source of financial support for the expansion and enrichment of learning opportunities for the Beatrice School District.
The 15-member Board of Trustees and selected Beatrice High School students work together to promote academic achievement and civic involvement through encouragement and support in quality school programs and innovative education that propels excellence.
The Foundation manages a $3 million Endowment Fund and awards over $100,000 each year in scholarships to Beatrice High School graduating seniors.
Mission Statement
The Foundation’s mission is to enhance educational opportunities and services to the students, staff, faculty, and residents of the Beatrice School District and strengthen the community’s commitment to a “Tradition of Educational Excellence.”
Purpose/Goal
The Foundation’s purpose is to provide a permanent source of financial support for the expansion and enrichment of learning opportunities for the Beatrice School District. The Foundation supports programs and activities to augment the educational experience, recognize distinction in public education, and to strengthen positive community relations.
