As 2025 comes to a close, the Beatrice Educational Foundation celebrates a year shaped by generosity, partnership, and a shared commitment to students and educators in Beatrice Public Schools.

This year, BEF awarded scholarships worth $105,100 to 34 students that helped graduating seniors pursue college, trade, and career training opportunities—investing in futures and honoring legacies rooted in education. Classroom grants totaling $7,000 supported innovative teaching across all grade levels, providing educators with resources that inspired creativity, curiosity, and student engagement.

Our BLAST after-school program continued to thrive, offering hands-on STEM enrichment for K–5 students and building confidence, collaboration, and a love of learning beyond the school day.

We were also proud to recognize outstanding educators and staff through BEF’s annual awards, celebrating those who go above and beyond for Beatrice students. We honored Jonetta Hagemeier as the Clabaugh Family Outstanding Educator and Kathy Casey as the Zoellner Paraeducator of the Year. None of this work would be possible without the generosity of our donors, business partners, volunteers, and supporters who believe deeply in the power of education.

As we look ahead to 2026, BEF remains committed to its mission of empowering educators and elevating students—strengthening our schools and building a lasting legacy of learning for the Beatrice community.
