If the answer is yes then consider nominating them for the Clabaugh Family Outstanding Educator Award.
The Clabaugh Family Outstanding Educator Award is awarded each year during American Education Week. The award will go to a teacher in a public or parochial school in Beatrice, Nebraska. The winner will receive a plaque and $1,000. Another plaque with all the recipients will be displayed in the Administration Building.
The Award will recognize faculty who have contributed significantly to education in Beatrice through their teaching. Recipients of the award will have demonstrated their excellence as educators over a sustained period of time.
Criteria include the following:
- A record of outstanding teaching effectiveness both within and outside the classroom
- The ability to inspire, promote, and sustain the intellectual development of students
- A pedagogical approach that is innovative (new approaches using current or new models of teaching), intellectually rigorous, creative, and engaging
- Contributions to developing or enhancing professionalism in their specialty area
Nominations will be encouraged from community members, administrators, fellow teachers, current or former students and parents. Nominators will be asked to complete the Clabaugh Family Outstanding Educator Nomination Form along with a letter of support. These will be available on the Beatrice Education Foundation’s website and at the Administration Building.
The honoree is selected by the Grants and Awards Committee.
